SAY ANYTHING was beyond good. I had a great night :] especially getting up to the barricade through all those flailing, sweaty people. I saw Colin's cousin, Matt Kolf there which was sort of funny. I think I may have fallen onto him at one point or another from all the shoving. So after my romp in the huge crowd, a bit of time in the pit and bleeding eardrums from the girl screaming behind me, I retreated to back and hung with Mike. He wasn't feeling too well the whole time, what with his headache and getting over a cold and all. But we were both excited that they played a pretty good mix between the older songs and newer stuff. I don't really listen to the new album as much but they played a few I knew most of the words to. They also played Belt, Woe, Alive With the Glory of Love and (yes, Lauren Beecher) Chia-Like I Shall Grow among others. They even played a Smashing Pumpkins cover, just because. But toward the end it got so intense because everyone was so hyped up and then they played their "last song" and went offstage. So everyone starts chanting "one more song, one more song!" ad of course, Mike and I are throwing up are arms going "TWO more songs, TWO more songs!". So they come back out and do a three song encore ending with Admit It!, which led to crazy stage-diving, crowd-surfing, shoe-throwing action packed fun!

I can't wait until August to see them again in Cheshire :]
And the opening bands were pretty good. The first one got offstage as we came in so they didn't really count because they were opening for the opener of the opener for Say Anything and only played two songs apparently. The next group were just three guys; bass, guitar and drums. All did voice at one point or another and they were good, even though I don't remember their name because it was something really obscure, I think. But Manchester was pretty cool, too so you catch my drift.
Oh, and I bought a shirt. Yay!

Now 'tis time for sleep, skipping class in the morning then waking up to Wesleyan and grilled cheese sandwiches with Mike and Jody :]
